"What do I get for the money?"
When you buy FastDevWeb CMS, unless you have opted for the rental only option, you have a perpetual license to use a single instance on your own domain. You may change web hosts and continue to use it and we will still support it so long as you continue to sign up for support. You can change your images, HTML and CSS without requiring us to change the CMS. If you have purchased the developer license with the full API and have a .net developer handy, there is no limit to what you can do on your site while still getting the value from the CMS.
"Do I need support?"
The answer is yes if you want to take advantage of regular updates and get help with the CMS. However, if you want to save money and you are comfortable using the CMS without obtaining any upgrades, we will still help you out if you get stuck and want help and charge an hourly rate.
"Do we get the source code?"
The HTML and CSS in your site is yours to change as you like. The CMS system itself if a compiled binary or executable (just like any other software program). You have a "run time" license so you can use its features, but we look after the source code for it so we can continue to develop, improve it and release regular upgrades. If you have the developer API version, you still have unlimited flexibility to develop your site without coming to us for help.
